The Professional Accountant’s Role in Ethics, Governance, & Culture

When providing advice and opinions, management accountants and auditors, play a unique role as professional advisors, which can be a unique and challenging role when providing assurances.  Exercising objective judgment and maintaining professional integrity are essential roles of the professional advisor; however, these roles may become undermined when strong political or cultural pressures are at play.  This session will help auditors and management accountants recognize these pressures should they be encountered and how to promote and support an ethical culture.
