Controller
OBJECTIVES:
To ensure that administration and accounting staff are highly trained,
motivated and produce the highest quality product and/or service with optimum
efficiency. To ensure company policies, procedures and controls are adhered to.
STRUCTURE: The position of
Controller reports to the Director of Administration.
Responsible for Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Billing, Rebates,
Credit, Systems Administration, Sales Administration and Reception.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Plans, organizes and directs accounting, administrative and support
services
·
Ensures company programs are communicated and implemented
·
Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and
practices
·
Plans, develops and establishes objectives of functions in accordance
with company objectives
·
Recommends new operational procedures to obtain optimum efficiency and
reduced costs
·
Directs the activities concerned with safekeeping, control and accounting
for company assets
·
Directs the preparation of financial statements
·
Approves and signs documents effecting monetary transactions
·
Leads and promotes continuous quality improvement
·
Ensures departments are trained, motivated, productive and produce a
quality product and/or service
·
Ensures that all departments are working together
·
Liaison with intercompany personnel to ensure operating efficiencies
between locations
·
Identifies, evaluates and resolves human relations and work performance
problems
·
Provides semi-annual performance evaluations for staff
·
Provides support and assistance to other departments of the organization
·
Provide non-EDP equipment and supplies that effectively meet operational
requirements with a minimum of expenditures
