A not for profit health care provider located in Eastern Montgomery county
currently has an opportunity for a Senior Accountant. This position
reports to the Controller and is full-time with competitive salary and excellent
benefits.
The Senior Accountant is a core member of the accounting team in the month- and
year- end close processes, as well as responsible for day to day department
functions, such as daily cash receipt processing. Areas of responsibility
will include key balance sheet accounts, revenue recognition and analysis,
investment accounting, pledge and contribution reconciliations, and the fixed
asset sub ledger. The position also assists in the preparation of budgets,
cost reports, and government and regulatory surveys.
Requirements
The
ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with strong analytical and excellent
account reconciliation skills, who is organized, positive, and detail-oriented.
The successful candidate will have the ability to review processes, to suggest
and to implement approved improvements, to solve problems, and to work both
independently and as part of a team. A minimum of 5 years accounting
experience with progressive levels of responsibility and a bachelor’s degree in
Accounting preferred. Experience working within a healthcare and/or not for
profit environment is also preferred, with knowledge of a variety of software
applications including Microsoft Office, and strong technical and Excel skills.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is a plus.
