Al Deana, a partner in the healthcare business services group of Baker Tilly, has been with the firm since 2007. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, Al was a partner with Ernst& Young. He specializes in serving the financial needs of a variety of healthcare organizations. Al has significant experience serving acute and specialty hospitals, multi-hospital systems, continuing care retirement communities and physician practice organizations.


Al is the partner-in-charge of financial audits of numerous hospitals, health systems and senior living organizations. He provides guidance and assistance to clients on implementing new accounting and reporting requirements, and the accounting for business combinations, joint ventures and debt financings. He also provides guidance on accounting policies and procedures to improve the operation of the accounting function and strengthen internal controls. He is a licensed CPA in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.


Al is a member of the AICPA, PICPA, and a Healthcare committee member of the PICPA. He is also a member of the Healthcare Finance Management Association (HFMA) and a board member of the Philadelphia chapter of the HFMA. 


Al is a graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
